What is dental bonding?
When a person has small dental flaws, our dentists may recommend dental bonding. During the procedure, a tooth-colored material is applied to the surface of the tooth or teeth to restore the appearance of the smile. The shade of the resin material can be selected to match that of your natural teeth.

Am I a good candidate?
Dental bonding can be used to correct many cosmetic imperfections in your smile. However, if you have teeth that are crooked or gapped because of a misaligned bite, Drs. Abdelmonem and Quintero may recommend that you visit your orthodontist.

What should I expect during treatment?
Once the shade of the dental bonding material has been selected, the surface of the flawed tooth will be roughened. This will allow the bonding material to attach properly to the tooth. The bonding material is then applied, molded, and smoothed. To harden the material, a special light may be used. Then, the material will be trimmed and shaped further. The final restoration will be polished.

How do I care for bonded teeth?
Care for the treated teeth in the same way that you would your other teeth. Brush your teeth twice daily and floss them at least once daily.
